Opening ceremony of advanced training course of technology pipe welding skills – 6G position and industrial electricity for 50 students

On the afternoon of February 6, 2023, Ba Ria – Vung Tau College of Technology held the Opening ceremony of training course of technology pipe welding skills – 6G position and industrial electricity.
The training course of technology pipe welding skills – 6G position and industrial electricity was deployed from February 6 to June 20, 2023 by Zarubezhneft Vietnam Company and their partners in Block 06.1- Petroleum Company India ONGC Videsh and Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam) with a total sponsorship budget up to 45,000 USD.
Overview of the opening ceremony
Among a total of 50 students, there are 26 students in the advanced pipe welding technology – 6G position course, and 24 students in the advanced industrial electrical course. Students receive advanced training in vocational skills and English communication at work to meet the recruitment needs of businesses.
This vocational skills training program is designed with a duration of 400 hours, focusing on specialized and advanced skills according to the production technology requirements of enterprises. The English language training program is designed with a duration of 60 hours. In which, 80% of the time is used for basic communication English training and the rest is for specialized English training. Foreign lecturers are involved in teaching up to 50% of the program time. Participants in the training can study the entire course for free, and receive an additional support of 2.5 USD/student/day. After graduation, students are supported by the school to find jobs.

Mr. Vo Van Thuan, Vice Principal of the college, deeply thanked the sponsors and inform, from 2012 to now, Zarubezhneft Vietnam (formerly Rosneft Vietnam) and their partners Block 06.1 – Indian Oil and Gas Company ONGC Videsh and Vietnam Oil and Gas Group PetroVietnam have provided a total of 440,000 USD for the purpose of training 430 students to improve vocational skills and English. Vice Principal Vo Van Thuan wishes that the students will continue to make efforts to become a high-quality human resource, contributing to the development of the province. When participating in the course, besides being trained to improve their professional skills, they are also trained in English for communication and specialized English, helping them to have better opportunities to find jobs with better income and confidently meet the increasing job requirements from employers. “Hopefully, they will always be grateful and promote their full capacity, becoming a high-quality human resource to serve for the province”, Mr. Vo Van Thuan expected.
