BCTech opens the 2024-2025 school year and celebrates the 42nd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day

On the morning of November 19, Ba Ria – Vung Tau College of Technology (BCTech) held the Opening Ceremony of the 2024 – 2025 school year and the 42nd Anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (November 20, 1982 – November 20, 2024).

Overview of the opening ceremony

At the ceremony, Ba Ria – Vung Tau College of Technology welcomed 1,876 new students of the Intermediate and College levels. The school also signed training cooperation agreements with 6 units. At the same time, it received sponsorship from 20 organizations and enterprises for the school’s Scholarship Fund with a total amount of nearly 1 billion VND. On this occasion, Zarubezhneft EP Vietnam Company and its partners in Block 06.1, Indian Oil and Gas Company ONGC Videsh and Vietnam Oil and Gas Group sponsored 45,000 USD to train and improve skills and English for 50 students.

In the 2024-2025 school year, the school will continue to strive to create a friendly and creative learning environment so that students can develop their full potential and capacity. The school’s key task this school year is to organize enrollment for college and intermediate levels to meet the targets set by the Provincial People’s Committee, departments, branches and businesses. Along with that, it is necessary to coordinate well with the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, Departments of Education and Training, junior high schools and high schools to organize tours, experiences and admission and career counseling at the school. Not only that, the school also continues to innovate teaching methods, promote cooperation with domestic and foreign businesses to organize internships for students, organize specialized module training at production sites, and create jobs for graduating students…

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Tran Quoc Khanh, Director of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, sent his warmest congratulations to generations of school administrators, lecturers and staff on Vietnamese Teachers’ Day, November 20. At the same time, he praised and recognized the outstanding achievements that generations of teachers, administrators and students had achieved in the past school year.

The Director of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs requested that Ba Ria – Vung Tau College of Technology continue to mobilize resources to develop the school. In particular, it is necessary to seek the direction and support of the leaders of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, the General Department of Vocational Education, the Provincial People’s Committee, departments, branches and sectors, and especially to promote the close relationship between the school and enterprises in training and job creation for students right after graduation. In addition, it is necessary to focus on improving the quality of teachers and managers, regularly innovating programs and textbooks in line with the development of science and technology and international integration.
