BCTECH students receive the Certificate of Merit from the Provincial People’s Committee for their contribution in the prevention and control of COVID-19

In order to recognize the great contributions and contributions of collectives and individuals in the prevention and control of the COVID-19 epidemic, on the afternoon of May 6, the People’s Committee of Ba Ria – Vung Tau province held a ceremony to honor the COVID-19 prevention and control force.
Nguyen Ngoc Huy, a student of the Electrical Department of BR-VT College of Technology was honored to be one of 67 typical individuals to receive the Certificate of Merit from the Chairman of the People’s Committee of Ba Ria – Vung Tau province for his positive contributions in the fields of science and technology. Attending the ceremony were Ms. Nguyen Thi Yen – Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Van Tho – Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; Mr. Bui Chi Thanh – Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; representatives of leaders of departments, agencies, organizations and more than 300 delegates and guests.
On this occasion, the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee presented certificates of merit to 39 typical collectives and 67 individuals with outstanding achievements in epidemic prevention and control. In which, Nguyen Ngoc Huy, a student of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Ba Ria – Vung Tau College of Technology (BCTECH) was honored to receive a certificate of merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee.
Nguyen Ngoc Huy participated in the assault of the volunteer formations launched by the Provincial Youth Union and the Youth Union; participate in the propaganda squad, support and guide people to install BlueZone application; join the Shiper Squad to go to the market to buy goods to help people; coordinated with other members to give 200 gifts which are essential foods to disadvantaged households in the city. Ba Ria; participating in supermarkets and shops to receive orders, receive goods and deliver them to people as assigned by the Provincial Youth Union; participate in the Phu My 1, 2, and 3 patrol squad at National Highway 51 together with the medical and police forces to ensure the circulation of goods and vehicles on the traffic artery of National Highway 51; supporting provincial CDC in data entry, testing, and PCR sampling at provincial CDC during 02 months.
With the spirit of youthful enthusiasm, not afraid of difficulties, along with the motto “Where young people are needed, what is difficult for young people”, Huy himself has spread the enthusiasm of youth to volunteer to participate. COVID-19 prevention and control in the province in particular and the whole country in general, contributing to the joint efforts to fight the COVID-19 epidemic.
